SPEED Trust provides slum-dwellers with a variety of programs, aiming at developing among them a sense of responsibility: an objective which involves fighting against laziness, dishonesty and fatalism. Therefore, it is part of SPEED Trust’s policy to provide as little free services as possible. The fees collected, though symbolical, are a token of commitment from the beneficiaries.
