Producer Groups:

SPEED Trust has set up various producers groups, gathering some of the youngsters and women who have followed the organization’s vocational trainings. These people, who are paid in advance for their work at rates respecting the Fair Trade criteria , become thus able to earn a decent living.

For instance, a group of twelve women is involved in the production of star-shape wire baskets designed with the collaboration of foreign customers. Another ten women have been specially trained to make hand-knitted hats for an American company, which provides them freely with the raw material.

The products are marketed by Baladarshan Fair Trade.
